Amanda & Kevin - Fall Wedding at Paikka

This is one of my favorite weddings to date. Not because it is at the awesome Paikka (one of my favorite venues in the cities) but because of the opportunity to shoot one of my dearest friends’ wedding. I met Amanda at my old job and through our social gatherings I got to know Amanda’s plus one, Kevin. Amanda and Kevin have been together for 10 years since high school and they met in their Chinese class. I remembered when Amanda returned to work with an engagement ring on her finger after Kevin proposed to her in China! I was beyond excited when they asked me to shoot their wedding. Amanda and Kevin involved me in nearly every step of their wedding planning process. I gave them my recommendations on who to work with for florals, make-up, etc. and I loved seeing that they took my suggestions to heart. In the last 1-2 months leading to their wedding, I helped design their invitation suite, and we spent late nights using the handy Cricut to craft table numbers, welcome sign, place cards and seating chart. This wedding took more involvement beyond my skills in photography alone and I enjoyed bringing Amanda and Kevin’s vision to life for their wedding. I’d do anything for my couples!
